The British Government Will Give More than £ 1.5 Billion to Support Creative Industries

The UK government has announced that it will allocate from the budget £ 1.57 billion to support the activities of creative industries after the coronavirus. Museums, galleries, theaters, independent cinemas, and music companies are among the organizations to which the money will go. Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “I understand the grave challenges the arts face and we must protect and preserve all we can for future generations, ensuring arts groups and venues across the UK can stay afloat and support their staff whilst their doors remain closed and curtains remain down".

According to experts, this will not only save jobs but also reinforce the possibility of allocating funds to the fashion industry, including the support of factories and manufactories. Dazed Media CEO and co-founder Jefferson Hack said that this move by the government will help keep industries from collapsing, economically and spiritually, from the ghost of mass unemployment and closing favorite places in the hope of a bright future for everyone. The Chief Executive of Creative Industries Federation of Great Britain, Caroline Norbury, noted that with the help of such subsidies the state recognizes the crucial role that the creative industries of Great Britain will play in the restoration and growth of the economy in all parts of the country. However, in her opinion, a return to normal economic life will not be easy for the creative sector.
