One of the largest online retailers, Matchesfashion, launches its Innovators Program. It targets young brands facing growth challenges. The program will help to stand out in the competition of the crowded luxury e-commerce market. Each year, the company will select 12 designers to receive financial support, including preferential payment for placement on Matchesfashion, business mentoring, and £ 1.8 million in marketing costs. Brands will be able to invest that money in campaign shoots, editorials and media outreach. Participants in this year's program include Michael Halpern, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, Grace Wales Bonner, LVMH Award winner Tebe Magugu, Art School, Ahluwalia, Chopova Lowena, Stefan Cooke, Germanier, Harris Reed, Ludovic de Saint Sernin and Bianca Saunders. “If we don't develop and care for these talents, how will fashion develop and move into the future? Especially in a difficult time like this. These small brands are very important to our industry, ”says Natalie Kingham, Fashion & Buying Director of Matchesfashion.com.
