An Exhibition about the Legendary Singer Grace Jones Will Open in London

Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami

This fall, an exhibition dedicated to the singer Grace Jones will take place. The Grace Before Jones: Camera, Disco, Studio exposition will open in the London Nottingham Contemporary Gallery on September 26th - it will be available until January 3, 2021. Curators Cédric Fauq and Olivia Aherne will create a cross between fan-fiction, research, and biography. Guests of the gallery will be shown all the singer’s transformations: from a disco diva to a dub cyborg, from a model to a performer, from a femininity icon to a masculine image. The exhibition will also show the works of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Robert Mapplethorpe, Lynn Goldsmith and others.
