Ex-Hermès Employees Appear in Court Over Fake Birkin Bags

In Paris, the trial ended with seven former employees of the brand Hermès. They were accused of producing and selling fake Birkin bags to Asian customers. According to the preliminary investigation, the scammers forged about 148 bags in four years and earned more than 4 € million. As a result, the prosecutor demanded punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to four years, fines of 200 000 €, and confiscation of property seized during the investigation. The final verdict will be announced on September 24, 2020
