The premiere of Beyoncé's visual album Black Is King took place on the Disney + platform. It is based on the soundtracks for the 2019 film The Lion King, for which Beyoncé voiced Nala and produced The Gift record. The singer presented a visual album Black Is King in the format of an 85-minute film. Filming, which took 12 months, took place in New York, Los Angeles, London, as well as in Belgium, South and West Africa. According to the Rolling Stones, the visual album includes four full clips - Already, Brown Skin Girl, Mood 4 Eva and My Power.

Zerina Akers was in charge of the style in Black Is King. She was also assisted by the London College of Fashion graduate Melissa Simon-Hartman. The film features pieces made by contemporary African designers such as L'Enchanteur earrings, Tongoro cape and dress, and Loza Maleombho costume. Laurel DeWitt was responsible for ethnic headwear and jewelry. Outfits of famous brands were also involved: in the frame, Beyoncé appears in Mugler dresses (8-year-old daughter of Beyoncé Blue Ivy Carter also appeared in one of the dresses of the fashion house), Balmain, Area, Erdem, Molly Goddard, Burberry, Marine Serre and customized Alon Livné and Valentino. Below are the singer's brightest outfits from the Black Is King visual album.
